What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse/Treatment Nurse position at Village Healthcare and Rehabilitation?
We're currently hiring a Full-time Treatment/ Wound Care Nurse. This is a full-time opportunity at our healthcare facility, Schedule is Wednesday to Sunday 8AM-5PM
- Will coordinate treatment and provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation and outcomes for patients throughout the organization.
- Provides patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies.
- Provides hand on care to the resident based on the resident Plan of Care.
- Must be able to identify changes in the resident condition and evaluate the resident care needs.
- Monitor the resident overall condition and provide care as required while maintaining compliance with the facility policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Texas Nursing License - RN /LVN is required
- Treatment/ Wound care experience is required
- Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
