What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement and Marketing Director position at Village Manor Retirement?
This position is responsible for all outside/inside marketing activities. Specific responsibilities include working with the Executive Director in managing marketing efforts, managing the lead bank and generating sufficient calls and community traffic required for sales conversions, coordinating special events and gathering appropriate documentation for move-ins. It is understood that this position works closely with the Executive Director and Regional Director of Operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Leadership through planning, directing, managing, communicating and coaching;
· This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, strong personnel skills and positive community relations skills to be successful;
· Excellent written, verbal, grammatical and punctuation skills;
· Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and make decisions;
· Knowledge of various advertising media including newspaper, radio, television, periodicals and web based media sites;
· Ability to write and place specific ads and articles in support of sales and marketing efforts;
· Professional and skilled interpersonal relationship skills;
· Working knowledge of the senior housing industry (preferred);
· Skilled in conflict resolution;
· Ability to conduct marketing research specifically as it relates to senior housing;
· Understand and direct sales and marketing efforts at our community to improve overall occupancy.
· The qualified candidate will manage sales inquiries, community tours, strategic follow up and closing strategies as directed by the Executive Director to generate new residents resulting in monthly occupancy growth.
· Plan and conduct weekly outreach appointments with professionals that have the ability to refer leads, i.e. agencies, hospitals, physicians, attorneys, community leaders, etc. Develop and maintain favorable relationships;
· Plan and coordinate with the community team to conduct monthly marketing events that generate leads, attendance from professionals, community interest and create public relations opportunities;
· Participate in the development of quarterly sales and marketing action plans, semi-annual competitive analyses, weekly sales analysis reports, advertising strategy and public relations efforts;
· Participate in local community organizations and professional groups as part of the outreach strategy;
· Participate in scheduled sales review conference calls and sales summits, and conduct weekly sales reviews with the Executive Director;
· Accurately manage the sales database to keep records for inquiries, professionals, events and all scheduled/completed activity current;
· Be familiar with tools that explain company and community standards for expectations with job performance in addition to this job description;
· Be familiar with and utilize tools and resources available at each community and as provided in order to maximize potential results for the community and the team;
· Assist the management team with other critical duties as required;
· Organizational skills are essential.
EDUCATION:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred in business, marketing, sales or a field related to the position is required.
