What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Clerk - Payroll position at Village of Carol Stream?
The Village of Carol Stream Finance Department is seeking a qualified individual to provide office support in the area of payroll processing/administration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to accurate and timely processing of the Village’s bi-weekly payroll, preparing and monitoring tax and benefit payment information, preparing payroll reports, as well as general administrative duties as assigned. This position must also maintain on-going familiarity with Federal & State laws affecting payroll.
Qualified individuals must possess the following:
- High school degree, or equivalent supplemented by training in office skills and/or general business courses.
- 2 years of professional experience in an office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, as well as MUNIS or similar database system.
- Working knowledge of payroll operations is preferred.
Salary for this position is $56,749. Excellent benefit package provided, including health (80% employer paid), dental, and life insurance, as well as IMRF pension system.
