Village of Centuria is Seeking to Fill A
Full Time Public Works Position
This position includes maintenance and repairs to public properties and projects. Must be able to deal courteously with the public, work outdoors in varying weather conditions and available to work overtime as required. These tasks shall include operation and maintenance of the municipal wastewater and water systems and repairs of the parks, streets and public properties of the Village. This includes and not limited to snowplowing, mowing, salting and sanding streets, street sweeping and other needed tasks. Other job duties will include Wisconsin DNR reporting and testing as it relates to water and wastewater operations. This position requires rotating on call and weekend work. The ability to respond to inclement weather is required. The employee follows the direction of the Director of Public Works.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Current driver’s license with a good driving record; a CDL or ability to obtain; DNR Certifications desired but optional for operation of the Village’s Water and Wastewater systems.
Candidates are subject to a background investigation, physical exam, and drug screening including pre-employment screening.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and benefits including overtime, participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System, health care coverage, paid holidays, and personal time off.
