What are the responsibilities and job description for the Start Smart Tee Ball Staff position at Village of Cottage Grove (WI)?
The Start Smart Tee Ball Staff is responsible for assisting with leading tee ball stations and games for youth ages 3-6, and there will be an emphasis on parent-child interaction.
Position Accountability
General day-to-day supervision, administrative direction, and performance evaluation shall be received from the Deputy Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director.
Supervision Exercised
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Term of Employment
This position is a seasonal position. The Start Smart Tee Ball Staff will work Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. from the beginning of June through early July. Specific days of the week fluctuate each year. The following duties are normal for the position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive; other duties may be required and assigned.
- Provides general supervision and leadership for program participants
- Responsible for assisting Start Smart Leader with activities.
- Assists with instructing and leading participants in games and stations.
- Provides effective communication with Start Smart Leader.
- Knowledge of baseball/softball and supervising children in an educational or recreational setting and leading kids in active games.
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision
