What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Baseball and/or Softball Official - Seasonal position at Village of DeForest?
Youth league officials will officiate youth baseball and or softball games during the months of May-July for the summer leagues. We are looking for individuals that have experience in playing, and or officiating baseball/softball and are willing to officiate and help the players learn more about the games and rules while officiating their games.
Qualifications
- Previous experience officiating and working with youth desired.
- Must be at least 14 years of age.
- Background in athletics, baseball, softball preferred.
- Enthusiastic, responsible and outgoing personality.
Additional Information
- Average Hours/Week: Typically, this employee will work 2-8 hours/games per week. Games are Monday – Thursday evenings May – July.
- Village of DeForest Application must be completed before interviewing
- Wage is $35.00 per game for non-WIAA Certified Official
- $45/per game with a valid WIAA Certification
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
