What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Tennis Camp Coordinator Summer position at Village of DeForest?
Do you enjoy the game of tennis and want to share your interest in the game with youth in the community? The Youth Tennis Coordinator is will develop, lead and supervise youth tennis lessons and activities through the Village of DeForest Recreation & Community Enrichment Department. This employee must possess excellent supervisory, organizational, verbal communication, public relations, and tennis instruction skills. This employee should provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for those individuals attending the program.
Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of tennis.
- Experience working with children ages 4-16.
- CPR, first aid, and AED certification is preferred.
- Must clear a background check.
- Village of DeForest Application must be completed before interviewing.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities for the youth tennis camp, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all participants.
- Supervise and manage groups of children, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Implement lesson plans that promote skill development in tennis while incorporating fun and interactive games.
Special Requirements
- The hours Monday - Thursday are 8:30am – 1:45pm.
- Fridays are 9:30am – 12:00pm.
- Lessons start the second week of June and run for 4 weeks giving 8 classes for each session.
- End of season tournament for team tennis will be at the end of July.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
