Description
The Village of Glendale Heights is seeking applicants for Seasonal Laborer in the Public Works Streets Division to perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled grounds maintenance work and construction work.
Graduation from high school education or GED equivalent is required. Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time and ability to work safely and to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; to work diligently with team spirit and have a basic knowledge of the use and application of hand tools and some power tools. Most assignments require physical stamina, heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds and sometimes working in inclement weather conditions.
This is a temporary position for the summer months in 2025. Typical work hours are Monday thru Friday, from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Work may be performed in outdoor conditions and/or near vehicular traffic.
A valid Illinois driver’s license required. Hourly rate of pay is $18.00.
