The Village of Key Biscayne Police Department seeks a dedicated and certified law enforcement professional to join its team. As a full-time police officer, you will be responsible for upholding the community policing model in Miami-Dade County.
With a workforce of 38 full-time sworn officers operating on a 12-hour shift schedule, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of residents and visitors alike. Your duties will include answering calls, patrolling both on foot and in a vehicle, including beach areas when necessary.
Making connections with the community through routine patrols is at the heart of our community policing/crime prevention model. You will share information, form relationships, and contribute to a safer environment for all.
To be successful in this role, candidates must be Florida State Certified and possess a valid Florida driver license. They must also pass a polygraph examination, psychological examination, medical examination, and background investigation.
