Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced maintenance services on streets, sidewalks, curbs, and storm drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including dump trucks, sweepers, bucket trucks, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and more.
- Utilize light-duty equipment such as tractors, mowers, trucks, and various trailers.
- Use chemical tanks, sign post equipment, power washer, spray painter, air compressor, chain saw, and other hand or manual tools.
- Assist with traffic control during street maintenance and construction projects.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve division goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 4 years of related work experience.
- Valid Class A New Mexico Driver’s License.
- Public Applicators License.
- Certified Utility Locator.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of heavy and light-duty equipment and tools.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively in a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
Working Conditions:
- This role primarily involves outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physical demands may include bending, lifting, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- This position is subject to on call status
