This position plays an important role in the Administration Department supporting the finance and human resource functions of the Village of Machesney Park. The Generalist will assist in a variety of finance and accounting functions as well as implement HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Payroll preparation and administration
- Journal entries
- Accounts payable and cash disbursements
- Information Technology management
- Financial tracking and periodic reporting
- Human Resources
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of financial accounting and reporting experience
- Payroll processing experience required
COMPENSATION
- Starting rate is $26.44 - $31.25/hour dependent on qualifications, plus excellent benefits
