Duties and Responsibilities of Village Treasurer/Deputy Clerk- 4hours weekly meetings.
This is a list of some of the typical duties and responsibilities of the Village of Morley Treasurer/
Deputy Clerk. The duties are not limited to this list. This arrangement shall only act as a guide to the duties and responsibilities expected of the employee.
General Duties of the Treasurer:
- Keeps an account of all receipts and expenditures.
- Keeps an account of all taxes and money appropriations, keeping a separate account of each fund.
- Completes payroll, and quarter tax reports to the federal and state government.
- Completes quarterly payroll and equipment charge transfers and provides to the Clerk for posting.
- Writes checks from Quickbooks using bills entered by the Village Clerk.
- Makes periodic reports to the clerk and council as required by law.
- Is cross-trained as Clerk.
- Completes other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (Preferred)
- QuickBooks: 1 year (Required)
