The Planning & Urban Design Manager/Village Planner directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the programs and activities of the Planning and Urban Design Division within the Department of Development Services; coordinates assigned activities with other Village departments and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Development Services, Village Attorney, Village Manager and the Village Board on planning issues.

Seven years of increasingly responsible planning and management experience in a municipal government environment with at least three years of supervisory experience. AND Possession of a Master’s Degree in Urban or Regional Planning or a closely related field from an accredited college or university and AICP membership are desirable, or a combination of experience and education that is equivalent.
