Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to perform a variety of tasks related to facilities maintenance and construction. This role requires a hands-on approach and the capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform general labor tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, painting, and assisting with maintenance projects in public works water and sewer systems.
- Utilize tools and equipment such as village vehicles for digging and plowing as needed.
- Assist in residential water system maintenance and sewer line and lift station repair.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with the general public and residents.
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Obtain your OSHA 30 and confined space certificate along with obtaining a pesticide applicator license.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and clients.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is preferred, with knowledge of simple maintenance and mechanical background being an advantage.
- Previous experience in residential maintenance.
- Strong ability to be taught new systems and skills from supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction during projects.
- Ability to maintain focus on tasks while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Valid and clear Drivers License.
- Ability to work overtime and on call as needed after regular work hours of 8am-4pm.
