What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Services Assistant position at VILLAGE OF ROUND LAKE BEACH?
This position performs a variety of administrative work in support of law enforcement operations under the supervision of the Support Services Manager. This position also provides support to the police department’s Property Control Officer. Use of a computer is integral to the position.
Responds to and interacts with employees, supervisory personnel, and/or others within and outside of the organization in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
Under supervision, the employee performs standard and routine work assignments, within established policies and procedures, independently to conclusion; unusual problems which may require exceptions are referred to the supervisor; receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.
Job Duties:
· National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) Assistant
· Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) Assistant
· Assist with management of the department’s quartermaster system.
· Assist with management of the department’s vehicle fleet.
· Complete in-house background investigations and provide fingerprinting services, as necessary.
· Assistant Property Control Officer
· Manage operational office supplies
· Oversee village employee identification system
· Assist with management of vehicle tow reports.
· Manage data entry for traffic and pedestrian stops – Facilitate necessary transfer of date to IL Sec. of State
· Sharps disposal site coordinator
· Prescription drug take-back program coordinator
· Ballistic vest grant program coordinator
· Maintain confidential files
· Assist with department property inventory
· Perform data entry, as required.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Illinois Driver License. Must successfully pass drug and alcohol screening, criminal background and driving record check.

Salary: $26.44 per hour
