What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Laborer position at Village of South Elgin?
The Village of South Elgin is seeking a candidate for the position of Seasonal Laborer in the Parks and Recreation Department. The candidate will perform a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work and operate a variety of equipment and tools in a landscaping and parks capacity.
The position will work either Monday thru Friday 7am-3pm, Tuesday through Saturday 7am – 3pm shift or a Sunday through Thursday 7am – 3pm shift. These positions will start on or after May 1 – August 31. Work assignments will include basic maintenance of the parks and buildings and grounds areas which may vary according to seasonal and emergency needs and priorities of the Department.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License. The pay rate for this position is $17 per hour with
30 - 40 hour work weeks. This position does not offer benefits.
