What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Operator position at Village of Walworth?
The Village of Walworth (population 2,746) is accepting applications for a Public Works Operator to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks within the Village’s Public Works, Water, and Sewer Departments. This is a full-time hourly position and will report to the Village’s Superintendent of Public Works. The ideal candidate must be able to work alone or with little supervision, with some rotational on-call and weekend duties. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain the following: Wisconsin Driver’s License, Wisconsin CDL-Class B with Airbrakes, and necessary WI DNR water/wastewater operator certifications. This position has specific physical requirements and environmental exposures, and is subject to a pre-employment drug test. Starting hourly rate is $24.00/hour, dependent on experience and qualifications. The Village of Walworth provides a competitive benefit package. Regular working hours are Monday-Thursday 6:30am-4:00pm and Fridays 6:00am-10:00am with occasional on-call weekends and emergencies as required.
