Job Title: Housekeeper
Reports To: Maintenance Director
Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for observing all guidelines regarding infection control and local standards while assuring the highest degree of quality resident care and cleanliness is always maintained. They will also maintain the appearance of the community for the comfort and use of residents, family members, visitors, and associates.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- The housekeeper will clean common areas and residents’ apartments according to schedule and maintain a healthy and attractive environment
- To monitor, check and maintain standards of cleanliness within all areas of the community on a daily basis.
- To report any maintenance problems observed either in residents’ bedrooms or around the community immediately to the Maintenance Director.
- To maintain a professional and helpful attitude whilst on duty towards residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
- To collaborate with all the other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the community
- To assist when required with the cleaning of resident bedrooms
- In addition to cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and communal spaces, housekeepers may also be required to change bedding, do laundry, and keep inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Respond with urgency upon requests

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Senior Living experience preferred but not required
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety procedures
