Overview:
Galerie Living is seeking a skilled Painter to join our maintenance team. The Painter will be responsible for painting and maintaining the interior spaces of our senior living communities, including resident rooms and common areas, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for our residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and patching as needed.
- Apply paint, varnishes, and sealants to interior surfaces of rooms and common areas.
- Choose appropriate paints and materials for different types of jobs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to complete projects efficiently.
- Inspect and perform touch-ups or repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a painter; experience in a residential or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of different types of paint and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to commute from building to building
- Must be comfortable working on ladders or in confined spaces as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
