Job Title: Resident Assistant/CNA
Reports To: Wellness Director
Summary:
The Resident Assistant will provide warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, and support to all residents within the Galerie Management community.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assists residents with all activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility- as directed by their individual service plans.
- Monitors changes in residents’ status and personal care needs; documents observations and advises supervisors and/or clinical associates as appropriate.
- Assists in the development and updating of Resident Care Plans.
- Encourages resident participation in scheduled life enrichment activities.
- Assists with laundry and light housekeeping tasks as directed.
- Monitors the community and takes appropriate action to keep the environment safe, clean, and attractive for residents, guests, and co-workers.
- Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
- Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Galerie Management’s policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age and have either a High School Diploma or GED. An active Certified Nursing Assistant license is preferred for this position but not required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Can follow written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and comprehend resident care plans.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, residents' families, and other associates of the company.
- Uses good judgment in emergency situations and gets help when needed.
