Marketing and Graphic Designer

Village Travel is an award winning, family-owned company that operates a large fleet of 190 charter motorcoaches.  The Company began in 1980 and has since expanded its regional footprint and continues to grow into one of the largest full-service charter and tour operations in the Midwest.

We are in search of a Full-Time Marketing & Graphic Designer responsible for creating appealing marketing materials across various platforms! This position is on-site at our corporate office in Wichita, KS. The schedule is Mon - Fri 8am-5pm.

Position Summary:

This role supports the marketing needs of internal departments, with a focus on creative content development, layout and design. The position is also responsible for layout and updates to company marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, graphics, templates, the corporate website and more.

Marketing & Graphic Designer Responsibilities:

• Design and distribute the tour catalog that is distributed to nearly 25,000 households four times per year.
• Produce and distribute a company employee newsletter that provides interesting company information and reinforces our culture.
• Initiate ideas and manage website content for multiple Village divisions to maximize exposure and sales.
• Generate ideas to maximize our presence in all markets that we serve.
• Understands what makes the Village brand unique and brings it to life through videos, photos, graphic design, etc.
• Carefully analyzes content before released and works with leadership to get buy-in and feedback.
• Collaborates with internal teams to generate content specific to other departments in the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficient in copywriting for a variety of mediums.
• Strong computer skills including extensive knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
• Possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize projects.
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively with an upbeat attitude.
• Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, etc.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proven track record of successful online marketing and social media implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with preparing layout and press documents for multi-page printed materials.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend and sit.  The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds.
