Position Summary:
Villagio Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to drive sales and revenue growth across our catering services (Everyone Eats Catering) and event venue (Brentsville Hall). This role will provide strategic leadership to a dedicated sales and events team, ensuring the achievement of sales goals, the development of strong client relationships, and the seamless execution of exceptional events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets for catering services and the event venue.
- Lead, mentor, and support the sales and events team, fostering a high-performance culture and encouraging professional growth.
- Client Relationship & Business Development:
- Actively promote and sell the event venue, catering services, and packages to corporate clients, social groups, and individuals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners to enhance sales opportunities and generate referrals.
- Establish and grow strategic partnerships with venues, corporations, and other organizations to expand reach and drive new business for catering and event services.
- Collaborative Sales Process:
- Partner with the culinary team to create customized catering menus and packages that meet specific client needs and preferences.
- Conduct site tours, tastings, and presentations to showcase Brentsville Hall and Everyone Eats Catering to prospective clients.
- Sales Operations & Execution:
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial inquiry to contract negotiation and event execution, ensuring smooth coordination and high client satisfaction.
- Implement targeted sales strategies and marketing initiatives to drive awareness, generate leads, and boost bookings.
- Industry Insight & Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Event Delivery & Brand Representation:
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless event delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
- Represent Villagio Hospitality Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to strengthen brand visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, focused on event and catering sales, including 2 years in a leadership role managing a team of sales and event professionals.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with excellent presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and systems such as Tripleseat & Event Temple.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local market trends, venues, and competitors.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
