We are growing! Villagio Hospitality Group is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team!
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- To support the Accounting Department and the company, by carrying out Accounting and Administrative functions for an expanding Hospitality Group.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist the Senior Accountant with daily and monthly accounting functions and perform other financial or administrative tasks as required by Management.
- Assist the Senior Accountant in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies
- Manage employee credit card transactions
- General Cashier duties
- Prepare mailings and priority shipments for the Accounting Department and Corporate Office
- Maintain files and prepare correspondence as needed within the department.
- Assist the Senior Accountant in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting is required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a role of similar capacity
- Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
- Strong proficiency in using Excel and familiarity with restaurant specific accounting software
- Experience with Restaurant 365 is preferred
- Strong written & verbal communication skills is required
- Must have a strong work ethic, with the ability to be flexible and have initiative to get the job done
