Villani Landshapers is seeking to add a Field Supervisor to our landscape maintenance team. This position will manage the employees at our West Allis dispatch location. Our philosophy is that a Field Supervisor is expected to spend 70% of their day on client property sites interacting directly with landscape maintenance crews, client service representatives (CSRs), and clients to identify any issues with production performance, equipment, labor, uniforms, safety, or quality and address them on the spot while training and teaching the crews to manage their sites.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- This position’s highest priority is field-training foremen to continuously develop them into people who can train, manage, and control their crews efficiently. This position will lead by example and set high expectations for new and existing employees.
- 70% of the Field Supervisor’s time will be spent on client site visits, with the utmost urgency to always have problem-free sites maintained with a burning “Passion for Detail.” On the client sites, the Field Supervisor will observe the crew’s work and evaluate work methods, productivity, safety and environmental factors to ensure that crews are working up to company standards at all times.
- Responsible for working with a team of crews to manage workloads, scheduling needs and daily paperwork.
- Responsible for regularly monitoring their teams’ equipment, route books, daily time entry, cleanliness of trucks, trailers, and uniforms to ensure that everything is presented to company standards.
- Required to be in the yard daily before dispatch to check trucks and trailers for damage and cleanliness, ensure the right equipment is loaded for the day and properly secured.
- Has authority in evaluating and disciplining field personnel (up to recommendation of termination) with Operations Manager approval.
- Has authority to enforce the company safety program.
- Adheres to and administers company policies and procedures and manages to company core values and standards.
- 2-3 years of landscape maintenance field experience
- Passion for teaching and training
- Ability to maintain insurable Wisconsin driver’s license
- Understands how to motivate a diverse workforce
- Being a proactive thinker/planner
- Wisconsin pesticide application license preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-through abilities
- Knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs
