Primary job duties of our General Laborers include using knives to cut fresh pork products, packaging the meat, labeling items, palletizing shipments, and retrieving frozen products. Job duties:
- Complete physical labor as needed in a cold (32℉), wet manufacturing environment
- Follow all appropriate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Using a wizard knife to cut the product
- Move fresh pork through the production floor
- Complete all assigned tasks and shifts as assigned according to production requirements, including but not limited to using a wizard knife to cut the product and moving fresh pork through the production floor
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear all required safety gear ensuring a safe work environment for you and your co-workers.
- Continuous training in Safe Quality Food (SQF) and all additional training as required.
- Fulfill other duties and assignments as assigned by managers.
To qualify for this job you must have:
- Flexibility with work hours, in general
- Have strong attention to detail
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions in Spanish or English
- Punctual with great attendance
- Ability to satisfy physical requirements (see below)

Physical requirements and work environment:

- The work environment will include cold temperatures between 50℉ to 10℉ (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, and exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Villari Foods will provide cold-weather gear to you.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud. Ear protection is required and provided.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Able to speak and hear for safety and productivity
- Use scanners, tablets, radios, phones, and other warehouse machinery
- Frequently required to stand, use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle, feel, reach, and pull
