Groundskeeper

Villas At Sunny Acres is a skilled nursing and long term care facility. We are seeking a an experience groundskeekper to join our family.

Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of your job position is to maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Duties of Job: Experienced groundskeeper, Lawn maintenance, Sprinklers, Tree Maintenance and trimming, Fall Cleanup, Snow removal, sprinklers systems, drip system

Pay depending on experience. $21-23 per hour

Education
Must possess, as a minimum, an 8th grade education or its equivalent.

Specific Requirements
 Must be able to write, read, speak, and understand the English language.

 Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.

 Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

 Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.

 Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

 Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.

 Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing dietary practices.

 Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

 Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.

 Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)
 Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.

 Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.

 Must be able to cope with the mental emotional and stress of the position.

 Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.

 Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents/personnel.

 Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which include a medical and physical examination.

 Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.

 Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires lifting up to and over 100 pounds with assistance.

Frequent carrying, pushing and pulling of tools and equipment.

 May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
