Description:
Ville Property Management is committed to providing affordable, no-barrier housing for the most vulnerable members of our community. We currently operate seven converted apartment complexes across Utah, offering over 250 affordable units to individuals who have experienced homelessness and receive rental assistance. In response to urgent community needs, we are expanding our impact by opening an emergency winter shelter. To support this initiative, we are actively seeking compassionate individuals to join our team and help operate the new shelter.

Position Status: Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
Shifts:
Full-Time Day Shift (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Full-Time Swing Shift (5:00 PM - 1:00 AM)
Full-Time Night Shift (1:00 AM - 9:00 AM)
Weekend Day Shift (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Weekend Swing Shift (5:00 PM - 1:00 AM)
Weekend Night Shift (1:00 AM - 9:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Benefits: Health Care Plan, Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, and Public Holidays)
Anticipated Start date: November 4th, 2024
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and complete the cleaning of general spaces including offices and reception area.
- Assist with general property upkeep including collecting garbage and emptying trash receptacles.
- Assist with the cleaning of shelter rooms to ensure that guests are supplied with a clean room and bedding, as needed.
- Frequent interaction with guests, staff, and others working or visiting the agency.
- Responding to the needs of guests, staff, and other working or visiting the agency.
- Cleaning duties include, but are not limited to: restocking restrooms, floor care, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and other general cleaning duties.
- Monitor and respond to inappropriate behavior as needed, including enforcing rules and regulations, and relying on assistance from other staff when necessary.
- Follow all security, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Required Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED required
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
Required Skills:
- Interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress.
- Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse populations. Ability to contribute to the agency’s commitment to enhancing awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds and bend, squat, twist, push and pull to perform normal job functions
- Ability to operate equipment and machinery as outlined in this job description including climbing ladders
