We are seeking an experienced AWS Database Administrator (DBA) to design, implement, manage, and optimize databases hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability by leveraging AWS services such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift. This role requires close collaboration with development teams to meet business data needs while optimizing database performance in a cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design & Architecture: Develop scalable and resilient database solutions using AWS database services.
- Schema & Data Modeling: Design efficient database schemas, data models, and access patterns for optimal performance.
- Migration & Implementation: Execute database migration strategies from on-premises environments to AWS.
- Database Management: Administer and maintain AWS database services, including RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
- Maintenance & Optimization: Perform routine tasks such as patching, upgrades, backups, and restores while optimizing database performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools to track database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security measures, including user access controls, encryption, and data masking, while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Query Optimization: Analyze query performance, troubleshoot slow queries, and optimize SQL statements.
- Scalability & Availability: Implement database scaling strategies to handle fluctuating workloads efficiently.
- Strong expertise in AWS database services such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
- Experience with database migration from on-premise to AWS.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with AWS monitoring, backup, and security best practices.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a cloud-native environment.
