Description
The successful candidate's primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following : providing exceptional customer service to guests, work autonomously on recruitment efforts, within our Slate CRM, but also cooperatively within our team on multiple visit and event opportunities. This is a professional staff, twelve-month position with benefits that requires seasonal evening hours, overnight travel, and weekends. Preference will be given to individuals with a college admissions background and who are bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively in both a counseling and public relations capacity with prospective students and the community
- Represent and promote VU positively and professionally at high school visits, college fairs, career centers, and other outreach events
- Strong interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication skills
- Evaluate student applicants for acceptance into VU
- Serve as liaison with assigned University college / school(s) and / or campus offices and departments to coordinate recruitment efforts
- Participate in on-campus events throughout the year (some Saturdays required)
- Assist in group visits and camps visiting campus
- Assist with other responsibilities, special programs, and projects on and off campus as assigned by the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions
- Other related duties as assigned
