Description
The Department of Communication invites applications for a full-time Instructor / Assistant Professor in Broadcasting to begin in August 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach courses in broadcasting including media content creation and editing.
- Provide a quality learning experience for all students in accordance with their needs and abilities while maintaining the basic integrity of course standards and objectives.
- Teach and maintain courses in accordance with university and departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare and teach at least 15 credit hours of undergraduate courses per semester.
- Develop syllabi for courses and ensure course content meets all requirements.
- Deliver timely and meaningful feedback to students on progress in courses.
- Utilize Blackboard as LMS for student assignments, announcements, grades, and feedback.
- Assist with student advising.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university meetings.
- Serve as a dual credit liaison.
- Contribute to departmental assessment and continuous improvement.
- Work with college and department in recruitment and retention activities.
