Vincennes University is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Clinic Nurse. The clinic nurse position plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care in Vincennes University’s primary care clinic for employees, student health office and wellness program. This position is full-time which entails a work week of 37.50 hours or 75 hours for a bi-weekly pay period. It may require some additional hours as needed for coverage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
- Perform a focused interview to access signs and symptoms including the physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
- Documents the patient’s plan of care using the diagnosis, expected patient outcomes and selected nursing interventions.
- Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
- Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient needs including the initial triage, establishing priorities for plan of care and administering medication.
- Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
- Supports professional practice by observing the following: 1) Nurses Practice Act; 2) Standards of Nursing Practice; 3) Standards of Patient Care; 4) State and Local Laws; and 5) Patient’s Bill of Rights.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Indiana Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Three years of professional nursing experience
- This position is a full-time which entails a work week of 37.50 hours or 75 hours for a bi-weekly pay period. It may require some additional hours as needed for coverage.
