Description
Vincennes University - College of Technology, is seeking applicants for an Electronics Technology Adjunct Faculty Instructor. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position located at the VU Main Campus site. This position will report to the Electronics Program Coordinator and the Dean of Technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruct and evaluate students in a lecture / lab classroom setting.
- Give guidance to the students as they complete their lab assignments demonstrating their skills in routine maintenance, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Be knowledgeable in electronic equipment, electronics, and basic computer networking.
- Ability to communicate with students during various stages of the learning process and to reach each student at his / her maximum learning potential.
- Organize and present prepared instructional materials at scheduled times and places.
- Preserve communications with students and colleagues to assure efficient and effective instruction.
- Uphold records of student attendance, student progress, departmental supplies, departmental equipment, and others.
- Maintain discipline and order during instructional activities.
- Evaluate the progress and performance of the student and assign grades. Enforce the approved departmental rules and regulations in the classroom and lab; recommend student counseling, probation, or dismissal for excess absences, disruption of class, or lack of progress.
- Embrace an active learning environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
