The Independent Living Driver and Property Assistant is a key member of the team, interacting with and assistant Vincentian residents on a regular basis. Responsible for driving the residents to appointments and organized outings, this position also includes general maintenance and assistant with resident events.
Summary
Vincentian, a nonprofit headquartered in Pittsburgh’s North Hills, is in need of an Independent Living Driving and Property Assistant. This individual will provide excellent customer service while driving residents to appointments, shopping trips, and events, while also assisting with general maintenance as needed.
What You’ll Do at Vincentian
You’ll assist residents in and out of vehicles and escort them in and out of appointments where needed, occasionally providing wheelchair transportation. You’ll maintain good communications between management, staff and residents to provide effective and timely transportation of the residents, including the use of text messages and a cell phone. You’ll assist with light maintenance including inside and outside sweeping, lightbulb changes, furniture moving, filter changes, battery changes, and room set up as needed. You’ll maintain a safe driving record in accordance with company policies.
You’ll assist management staff with other various tasks as assigned.
About You
Our Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor must meet the following requirements:
- High school education or equivalent required
- Current/valid driver’s license required.
- Minimum of two years of driving experience required.
- Working knowledge of basic maintenance preferred.
- Smart phone capability preferred.
