Summary:
The Lead Medication Technician and Clinical Staff Scheduler is responsible for the management and administration of residents’ medication and treatments. They will also assists residents with daily living activities which may include but not limited to personal hygiene, dressing, dining and transporting needs.
They will assure physician orders are completed. Assist resident with securing and managing healthcare. Documents resident care as required. Communicates effectively with residents, family members, and staff. Assists other members of the nursing staff with duties related to the daily needs of the residents according to established standards. Assist with scheduling, reporting incidents, maintaining standard of care on weekend on-call duties rotating with clinical and administrative leadership. Assist with coordinating scheduling, daily assignments and shift coverage. Managing resident supplies.
This position also prepares the staffing schedule and verifies the accuracy of time worked and paid time off for the Clinical Excellence Department in a Skilled Nursing Facility or a Personal Care Facility. This position also includes replacing employees who call-off, maintaining attendance records and checking daily staffing for accuracy. Other responsibilities include responding to correspondence, completing forms, and organizing work to meet priorities.

Education/Experience:
1. High school graduate or equivalent required.
2. 3 – 5 years of experience as a Medication Technician
3. Completion of PA Department of Human Services Medication Administration Training
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CRPS) or First Aid Certification preferred but not required.
5. Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required, ADP or other scheduling software preferred.
6. Administrative assistant or office experience in a health care facility preferred.
