Summary:
The primary purpose of the Property Assistant is to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary and comfortable environment for the residents of all Terrace Place and the Villa. The position will clean floors, dust, remove trash, wet mop, wax and disinfect resident apartments, restrooms and public use spaces. Cleaning will include vacuuming, shampooing, and deodorizing carpets and cleaning surfaces throughout the community.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

4. Adheres to all facility and department work rules, policies and procedures.
5. Ensure that all public areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
6. Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
7. Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants and solutions used for cleaning. Complies with manufacturer’s instructions and/or Material Safety Data Sheet.
8. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling potentially infectious materials.
9. Ensure that an adequate supply of housekeeping supplies to perform daily tasks is maintained in utility/janitorial closets.
10. Keep supervisory staff informed of supply needs.
11. Operates and maintains equipment.
12. Ensures that equipment is cleaned and properly stored.
13. Keep work/assignment areas free of hazardous materials and objects.
14. Performs job functions in a manner that promotes efficient use of resources.
15. Ensures that work records are completed, and cleaning schedules adhered to. Including resident apartment clean reservations.
16. Clean resident apartments as assigned, ensures checklist is complete per resident preferences.
17. Adheres to established cleaning, cross contamination and infection control policies and procedures.
18. Reports all hazardous conditions and equipment malfunctions.
19. Assists with setup and clean up for resident events.
20. Responsible for all common area trash.

23. Laundry responsibilities for guest suites and cleaning supplies. Ensures mop heads, cleaning cloths, kitchen towels, table cloths are clean and available.
24. Thorough cleaning of resident apartment after a resident moves out and before the next resident moves in.
25. Report any missing or found article, damage or equipment problems to Supervisor.
26. Responds to resident requests and questions and report resident issues and complaints to Supervisor in an effort to ensure resident satisfaction.
27. Interact with residents and guest in a friendly and courteous manner.
28. Performs all other duties assigned.
Education/Experience:
1. High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of previous job experience in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.
2. At least one (1) year experience of Housekeeping and/or Property Asisstant duties preferred.
3. Ability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions.
4. Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervisor by following all community procedures and guidelines.
5. Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving and decision making.
6. Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
7. Ability to handle multiple priorities.
8. Basic computer and telephone skills
