The Company

The scope of the company is general contracting and construction work, along with any associated services related to large, selected Design and Build projects, either public or private for which it can bring clear and strong added value. The Position
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the accounting department in creating accurate, complete and timely financial records for the organization/project office in compliance with standards defined in the company’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
- Assist in operational accounting functions including Month/Year End Close, analysis and reconciliations, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and Budget.
- Support AP & AR with an emphasis on Billing.
- Own external vendors communications.
- Ad-hoc projects requested by the CFO, Controller and/or department heads to support the business.
Qualifications
Required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business with emphasis in Accounting from an accredited institution.
- Minimum experience of 3 years in the role
Preferred
- Construction accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
- Ability to manage several different tasks and projects in an organized and efficient manner.
- Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance.
- Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:
- Office environment, at times in a field office
Physical Demands:
- The employee is required to stand; walk; climb ladders; sit; use hands, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Lift up to 25 lbs. with personal protective equipment (PPE)
- General office duties including typing, use of phone, filing, etc.
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $80,000
