We are seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Business Development for our Concrete Preservation & Strengthening division focusing in the private sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction sales, particularly within the concrete preservation and strengthening sector. This individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing client relationships, and leading a team to meet and exceed revenue targets in this specialized industry.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership: Lead the sales efforts for structural concrete repair services in heavy civil construction projects and private market sector such as industrial facilities, commercial buildings, etc…. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and revenue within the targeted region.

Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, contractors, and structural engineers. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.

Project Bidding and Estimation: Collaborate with the project management and estimating teams to prepare accurate bids and proposals. Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, including labor, materials, and timelines.

Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market demands to adjust sales strategies. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy civil, industrial, commercial and concrete repair sector.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives. Provide training and support to ensure that the team is equipped with the tools and knowledge to successfully drive sales.

Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Track sales metrics and provide regular updates to senior management. Prepare sales reports and forecasts to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Networking & Partnerships: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships with potential clients and partners. Participate in relevant associations and networking groups to stay connected within the industry.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, estimating, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution from sales through completion.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications in construction management is a plus.

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of sales experience in the heavy highway construction industry, with a focus on concrete repair, rehabilitation, or infrastructure projects.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of concrete repair techniques, corrosion protection techniques, strengthening techniques, materials, and processes. Familiarity with relevant building codes, industry standards, and regulations specific to concrete preservation and strengthening.

Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Experience in project estimation and bidding processes.

Leadership: Experience in managing and motivating a sales team. Ability to train, develop, and lead a diverse group of sales professionals.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Familiarity with construction project management tools is a plus.

Travel: Ability to travel as needed to meet clients, attend site visits, and participate in industry events.
