Qualifications of the ideal candidate include:
- Construction experience in wireless telecommunications required (minimum 6 years)
- Appropriate degree (or equivalent relevant experience in managing construction projects - minimum 6 years - will be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Deep knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and industry safety laws, regulations, and standards.
- Ability to effectively lead a team.
- Ability to work with and train crews.
- Ability to establish, manage, plan, and think strategically.
- Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrate excellent decision-making abilities.
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
Successful candidates will also possess:
- Basic construction equipment knowledge.
- Ability to build, structure, and finesse crews.
- Trains and mentors safety standards with crews following ANSI, OSHA, and other training protocols..
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and professional customer service skills.
- Effective communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel software.
- Valid driver's license required with a decent MVR.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of construction field crews. Manage and track crew progress, working with project and construction management to solve project issues quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure safety and quality control requirements at sites and with crews. Enforces the safety and quality programs- ensure that appropriate safety guidelines are followed in the performance of the work by staff and vendors, and ensures that work practices meet or exceed all current company and industry standards and applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Schedule and manage crews and coordinate with other management teams.
- Supervises Training Instructors and Field Supervisors.
- Hires, manages, and discharges direct reports according to Vinco performance standards.
- Responsible for assisting in planning and directing the construction project. Implement and follow through with required job site safety audits.
- Coordinate with customer representative for site related activities and maintain a good working relationship with vendors, clients, subcontractors, and crews.
- Provide leadership, guidance and actively train/promote safety and learning to all crew members.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with internal clients.
- Keep informed of new codes, technology, techniques, and practices.
- Other duties as required
