Job title: Machine Operator
Summary
Operate corrugated box and die cut manufacturing machinery that feeds in raw material, prints, cuts, folds glues or stacks, and counts at a maximum rate of 50-400 boxes per minute. The operator sets up and runs the machine to its full capability without assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Maintain consistent quality throughout the duration of a run
-Responsible for outgoing product quality in all aspects
-Set-up machine in accordance with proper techniques and in a timely manner
-Inspect dies before and after runs and report any issues
-Monitor condition of equipment and machine components
-Put ink machine, wash out, monitor ink roll metering, and monitor ink condition
-Run equipment to maximum capability and within the limitations that the current job will allow
-Be able to work as part of a team and work with, train, and assist other crew members with their duties when necessary
-Train new crew members
-Monitor bundler operation and condition
-Record accurate data collection manually, in data entry computer, and complete any necessary paperwork
-Monitor mechanical operation of the machine and alert supervision of any maintenance requirements that arise
-Assist with maintenance of machine when necessary
-Cross train on other equipment in the plant
-Comply with operating procedures and policies
-Adhere to production goals
-Maintain good housekeeping
-Operate press completely unassisted
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
-Must have basic math skills, counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, reading fractions, etc.
-Must be able to read a tape measure within 1/16” with speed and accuracy
-Must be able to properly read measurements in decimals, example= .468”
-Must be able to lift 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs
-Must have good vision or vision assistance (glasses, contacts)
-Must be able to work in a loud environment all day
-Must be able to work standing all day. Will need to be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
-Must be able to work in an environment that is not air conditioned in summer but heated in winter. Will be exposed to wet conditions at times, may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles as well as light chemicals such as glycol, alcohol, pH adjuster, cleaning solvents, cold glues, etc.
-Must have own form of transportation daily
-Must be able to work overtime
-Must be able to show up timely for work and maintain consistent attendance
-Must be able to work well with others
-Must be ok working in close proximity to mechanical and moving parts.
-Must maintain constant personal safety practices

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
