Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Provide direct care to patients, focusing on their individual needs and promoting their well-being.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist in the daily living activities of patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients’ health status and report any changes to the appropriate medical staff.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and systems to communicate effectively within the healthcare team.
- Engage with patients and their families to provide education on care plans and health management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving or as a Medical Technician in acute care or nursing home settings.
- Familiarity with home care practices and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Certification or relevant training in medical technology or related fields is preferred.
