What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Enrichment Instructor position at VineyardAppCamp (VAC) Enrichment?
We're looking for an enthusiastic teacher to join our team in a hands-on summer camp! In this role, you’ll teach curious kids and spark their interest in subjects like tech, design, journalism, cooking, and more.
The perfect candidate loves working with kids, knows how to make learning fun, and brings great energy to the classroom. Experience as a teacher or camp counselor is a big plus. Our classes are known for being exciting and unforgettable, so we’re looking for someone who’s friendly, dependable, and ready with fun ice-breakers.
Some experience in the subjects listed is helpful, but not required — we’ll train you on what you need to know.
This is a great summer job for teachers or coaches who want to earn extra income while making a big impact.
Requirements
- Teach students during the afternoon session with an arrival time of 30 minutes before class begins. Afternoon session begins at 1:30 and goes to 3:30.
- Include in your resume any extracurricular interests and leadership
Responsibilities
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use the programs we have created to facilitate learning
- Provide instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
- Assess and record students’ progress and feedback to supervisors in a daily email summary
- Collaborate with our team and participate in regular meetings
Skills
- Proven experience as a teacher or tutor
- Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Background-check required
