NURSERY & GREENHOUSE STAFF
Nursery and greenhouse staff plant and cultivate trees, shrubs, annuals, herbs, and vegetable plants; maintain grounds, retail areas, and work areas; and provide customer service.
Nursery and greenhouse staff perform some or all of the following duties:
- Dig, cut and transplant trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals and prepare them for sale using proper labeling and spacing
- Monitor greenhouse and outdoor plants for proper irrigation
- Monitor all container stock and grounds for weeds
- Provide information to customers on gardening and the care of trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants
- Operate cash register, assist customers with purchases and loading
- Keep all retail areas organized and free from nursery supplies; empty trays, pots, tags, tools, and signage should be replaced to proper storage areas; keep work areas neat and organized
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in greenhouse/gardening preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
