General Labor/Forklift Operator is responsible for the following.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal by organizing, directing, picking, packing, loading unloading, cross referencing and etc.
- Assists in the maintenance of all warehouse and transportation equipment for departmental use.
- Assists in the control of all inventories, ensuring product rotation and minimization of spoils.
- Controls all daily shipping assignments.
- Ensures that all procedures are followed to maintain product safety for all warehouse staff.
- Maintains records for all transactions.
- Assists the Operation Manager in daily operation flow from inbound to outbound
- Assists all accounts in the completion of their orders.
- Utilizes both PC and warehouse systems for generating reports and controlling inventories.
- Conducts Safety training and periodic employee meetings. Complying with applicable federal and state laws and regulations concerning employee safety.
- Recommends the hiring of personnel and oversees special job training.
- Keeps employees informed on factors relating to their work assignment, work progress, and opportunity for advancement.
- Ensures accuracy of finished goods inventory, this includes picking and receiving inbound and outbound orders.
- Scheduling pick up appointments (Inbound ocean freight / Outbound daily orders)
- Promote a culture of safety and putting our customers first
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
- Packaging supply monitoring and placing orders
- Pallet supply monitoring and placing orders
- Unload and load freight containers
- Staging items and grouping
- Certified sit down clamp and fork experienced is a must
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
· 5 years warehouse experience.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment, including pallet jack, sit down clam/fork forklifts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
