Junior Data Reporting Analyst

Overview:
The Junior Data Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Business Analyst and various department leaders by consolidating and organizing raw data from multiple sources, interpreting this data into actionable insights, and developing detailed operational metrics and KPIs. The role will also focus on establishing standardized procedures (SOPs) for data discovery and metric creation across the company. Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection, Consolidation & Analysis:
2. • Gather raw data from different sources (departmental systems, production databases, etc.) ensuring accuracy and completeness.
   • Work closely with the Senior Business Analyst to consolidate raw data into organized data sets for analysis.
   • Collaborate with department managers and leaders to identify where critical operational data resides and to determine optimal data collection methods.
   • Interpret raw data into meaningful insights and prepare these insights for presentation and further analysis.
3. KPI and Metrics Development:
4. • Assist in establishing and refining departmental and companywide operational metrics and KPIs that capture performance targets and current performance levels.
   • Work with stakeholders to define the “WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, HOW?” behind each KPI.
   • Support the development of a structured framework for companywide KPI and Metric Management alongside the Senior Business Analyst.
5. Report & Dashboard Development:
6. • Design, build, test, and roll out reports and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance insights using tools such as Excel, Power Point…etc.
   • Create clear, visually appealing PowerPoint presentations to summarize findings for executives and department leaders.
   • Ensure that all reports and dashboards meet executive-level requirements and provide actionable insights.
7. Process Documentation & SOP Development:
8. • Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining the data discovery process for each department and the methodologies for generating unique metrics/KPIs.
   • Maintain documentation that includes data definitions, reporting design rationale, and KPI/Data collection quality assurance processes.
9. Automation & Continuous Improvement:
10. • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation within data collection, analysis, and reporting workflows.
    • Collaborate with department leaders and process improvement teams to streamline data delivery and reporting procedures.
11. KPI/Metric Quality Assurance & Training:
12. • Validate data and reports to ensure high levels of accuracy. (Trust but Verify!)
    • Work with relevant stakeholders to troubleshoot discrepancies and refine reporting processes.
    • Provide training and guidance to departmental personnel regarding data sources, data handling, and usage of established metrics/KPIs.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  associate’s degree in data science, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is acceptable; a bachelor’s degree is a plus. (Not required)
• Experience:
  Prior experience as a Data Reporting Analyst or a similar role, with demonstrated proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
