Business Professional and Paralegal Job OpeningsJob Description - Director of Alumni Relations (1735)Description Position OverviewThe Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for managing and overseeing the firm’s Alumni Relations Program, taking active steps that facilitate positive and constructive engagement between the firm and our alumni. This includes maintaining and enhancing the Alumni Website, planning and leading a variety of events, tracking and communicating with alumni, and facilitating connections with clients or potential clients to place lawyers in their organizations. This role involves collaborating with the Business Development and Talent teams to partner on strategic initiatives and events aimed at developing business generation opportunities by maintaining and enhancing connections with the alumni network.Primary Duties and Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage a firm-wide alumni relations program, including events, communications, and digital platforms.Develop strategies to engage alumni in meaningful ways that align with the firm’s business objectives, while also supporting the relevant needs and interests of our alumni.In collaboration with other teams, oversee all alumni-focused marketing and business development activities, including events, communications, and content creation.Create and manage compelling content for alumni newsletters, the alumni website, and other communication channels.Serve as an effective ambassador for the firm and provide personalized outreach to alumni.Coordinate updates on alumni career moves and promotions.Work with the Client Relationship Management team to research, collect, and update alumni contact information.Partner with Talent and Business Development teams to leverage alumni connections for recruitment and client development.Identify opportunities for alumni involvement with mentorship, sponsorship, and thought leadership.Develop metrics to measure ROI and provide data analytics to enhance alumni initiatives.Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on feedback and data insights.Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.Working Conditions Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.Long hours can be required periodically.Occasional travel to other firm offices required.Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in related field. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school preferred.Experience : At least 8 years’ experience in an alumni, business, or client development function (years of practice for a JD considered).Special Knowledge : Knowledge of a law firm environment, best practices for business development.Technical Skills : Knowledge of Firm computer software; experience with recruiting management systems; understanding of website layouts; ability to create and maintain databases and to report on database information.Attributes : Hands-on leadership and management abilities.
