We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide leadership and strategic direction for the successful operation of VHRC. The COO will oversee campus-wide operations, including clinical services, facilities management, and environmental services, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. This role requires a hands-on leader who is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence while ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations, collaborating with senior leadership to develop and execute sustainable strategies aligned with VHRC’s mission and values.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain the highest standards of safety, service, and quality for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, clinical excellence, and resident satisfaction.
- Oversee integrated health care services across the care continuum, ensuring high-quality resident care both in-house and through strategic partnerships.
- Foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement among staff to drive performance excellence.
- Develop and monitor key performance metrics related to resident engagement, financial health, employee retention, and overall organizational success.
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Oversee capital asset management, long-term maintenance planning, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure the community’s facilities remain safe and operational.
- Work closely with Human Resources to attract, retain, and develop a highly skilled workforce, ensuring succession planning for key leadership roles.
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and the CEO to address concerns and enhance service delivery.
- Represent VHRC in Board and Resident Association (VHRA) meetings, providing strategic input and updates.
- Maintain professional affiliations and stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in senior living.
- Provide leadership for the organization’s risk management program and uphold resident confidentiality and rights at all times.
