Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Evaluate and confirm business requirements through data analysis.
- Source-Target Mappings & Transformation Logic: Assist in developing and validating source-target mappings and transformation logic to support information requirements.
- Re-usable Transformations: Create reusable transformations and robust mappings for integrations.
- Optimization: Optimize mappings for performance and implement complex business rules.
- Coordination: Work with BA, Operations, internal stakeholders, and external clients to ensure on-time, quality delivery of integrations.
- Documentation: Document best practices and guidelines for support teams.
- Test Development: Develop test cases and test plans to complete unit testing.
- Data Quality: Identify and resolve data quality issues, implementing remediation processes for both data quality edits and analytics issues and risks.
- Technology Integration: Work with diverse technologies, operating systems, languages, and functionality used in existing applications and systems.
- Client Integrations: Develop custom client integrations to enhance business logic prior to processing in downstream production platforms.
- Task Management: Prioritize and work on multiple tasks across multiple projects.
- Costing Input: Provide input for project/work effort costing, including resource and hardware/software estimation.
- Team Guidance: Mentor and guide junior teammates.
- Project Leadership: May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Release Management: Understanding of release management concepts, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Data Integrations: Adept at designing and implementing large-scale data integrations.
- Collaboration: Works well with others across the organization and is responsive to changing business needs.
- Subject Matter Expert: Expert in various products maintained by the software development department and the IT department's source control system, application lifecycle management toolset, and the release management process.
- Issue Resolution & Solutioning: Skilled in issue resolution with a high level of solutioning capability.
- Self-Starter: Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage tasks.
- Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 7 years of experience in full life-cycle development of ETL workflows, data, and systems integrations.
- Mapping/ETL Tools: Experience with one or more mapping/ETL tools, such as RedPoint Data Management, Alteryx, Data Stage, Dataflux, Informatica, SSIS, or Sterling Integrator.
- X12 EDI Standards: Experience with X12 EDI standards for healthcare data.
- Development Languages: Experience with one or more traditional development languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python).
- Data Processing: Experience processing data, including validation techniques, processing efficiencies, file processing (hierarchical, flat, delimited), and retrieving or populating data within a DBMS.
- SQL Queries: Proficiency in writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience is acceptable.
