Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install two (2) Red Hat Satellite with version 6.14 or latest version available;
- Deliver the architectural design
- Configure applicable Infrastructure Services;
- Configure satellite server to use ansible roles;
- Configure custom channels as per WMATA's UNIX Team;
- Copy current ansible roles from WMATA's satellite server and transfer to the new satellite servers;
- Install and configure OpenSCAP;
- Implement Simple Content Access;
- Execute content view lifecycle promotion;
- Synchronize content to Capsules based on organizations, locations, and lifecycle environments;
- Register or migrate a minimum of ten (10) client Red Hat Enterprise Linux hosts from WMATA's prioritized list to applicable host groups. Patch a minimum of ten (10) registered clients using
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux host patching and software content management plan from the prioritized list;
- Generate a system report based on one (1) outstanding Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE);
- Perform at least one (1) minor update or upgrade within the current major version, if available. If not available, the Contractor is to notify the WMATA Project Manager or their designee, in writing, within twenty-four hours.
- Configure backups using either built-in utilities or an existing Client host backup solution;
- Configure Red Hat Insights;
- Deploy the Red Hat Insights client to targeted RHEL hosts;
- Create and execute one (1) Insights remediation plan and delivery to the WMATA Project Manager or designee.
- Configure image based RHEL AMI host provisioning, including:
- Create compute resources;
- Create compute profiles;
- Create kickstart template;
- Create domain and subnet;
- Create host groups;
- Create hosts.
- Configure Satellite server to auto-publish and promote content through Life Cycle environments;
- Configure integration with supported, existing, client's identity, authentication, and authorization services;
- Create user accounts, user groups, and customer user roles, consisting of but not limited to:
- one (1) administrator user group;
- two (2) user groups.
- Prepare one (1) Organization to enable Red Hat Enterprise Linux client system registration, including:
- Create Locations;
- Import entitlement manifest;
- Create Activation Key;
- Enable repository;
- Enable repository synchronization;
- Create repository synchronization plans
- Create content and composite content views;
- Create lifecycle paths;
- Create host collections;
- Enable Simple Access Content;
- Vendor should be business partner of the Red Hat.
- Migrate clients from old Satellite system to the new Satellite systems;
- Provide the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation to the WMATA Project Manager or their designee. The SOP should include detailed documentation showing all the technical implementation and configuration in a PDF format via email to WMATA's UNIX Team and the WMATA Project Manager or designee. A status report must be provided at the end of every business week during the project.
- Demonstrate successful delivery of Satellite services within the past 3 years and provide customer testimonials.
