Digital Press Operator Role:
We seek a skilled Digital Press Operator to join our production team in Livermore, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the HP 6K Digital Press, ensuring high-quality print production, and maintaining machine performance.
This individual will troubleshoot press issues, monitor color consistency, and collaborate with other team members to meet production goals.
- Set up the HP 6K Digital Press, load material rolls, and adjust settings for optimal print quality.
- Perform color matching, using tools like Color Pilot or CMYK values, to meet ticket requirements.
- Ensure that printed labels meet specifications for text, colors, and registration/scaling.
- Maintain production schedules while minimizing waste and meeting deadlines.
- Conduct routine press maintenance, following HP Maintenance Wizards and cleaning protocols.
- Record material usage and time on press using the Labeltraxx timecard system.
- Work closely with finishing press operators to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.
- Monitor color consistency and quality throughout the production run to meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with digital press operations.
- Proficient in color matching and quality control.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues before they affect production.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office and e-mail.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- HP Certification (Level 1 or 2) is preferred.
- Experience in label printing and familiarity with foil stamping, embossing, or flexo/offset printing is a plus.

- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Strong proofreading and communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
