Vintage Fabrication in Independence, Missouri is currently looking for qualified metal shaping candidates who are passionate about vintage cars, hot rods, street machines, or classic trucks and have experience working on them. Applicants should be experienced with metal finishing, shrinking and stretching metal, panel shaping, welding a variety of metals, and creating panels from scratch. Attention to detail is a must. Although not required, it would be preferred if applicants had experience with an English wheel, power hammer, and bead roller. Our work schedule consists of four ten-hour days, which are Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 6:00pm. Enjoy three-day weekends every week. Our facility is both heated and air conditioned, so you can work in comfort year-round. The shop is kept clean and prospective employees should be committed to helping maintain a clean and safe work environment. Vintage Fabrication has been in business building hot rods, street machines, and classic trucks for over thirty years now. We are currently scheduling turnkey builds over a year out, so there is no shortage of work to be done. Many of our builds have been featured in various automotive publications and events nationwide. We have built multiple award winners and SEMA feature cars, which can easily be found on the world wide web.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Create metal panels from scratch.
- Template blank spaces and create the shapes in metal to fill those voids.
- Modifying existing panels to align with the intended design of the project.
- Fabricate parts from scratch to solve issues.
- Critical thinking of how to pivot when necessary to make an idea work.
- Collaborate on design and help ensure the project meets objectives and goals.
- Know how to work as a team member and in groups.

Education and Experience
- Experience will be judged off pictures of previous work.
- Certifications are a plus.
Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment.
- Must be able to reach in and work safely around vehicles.
- Must be able to speak clearly and distinctly hear and be understood in person.
- Must be able to work in a busy/fast paced automotive shop environment.
- Must be able to work seated or standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Occasional reaching overhead and below knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
- Must be able to work extended hours if the project requires it.
